Palm
About
Palm is a single-family house in El Golf, Nordelta, north of Buenos Aires, whose interior design is by DOONT Studio. Completed in 2024, the 700 m² (7,535 sq ft) scheme is organized around a single void — a merged central patio and a double-height living space through which light descends into every room.
MORE
The interior is conceived as a route, not a set of rooms: each movement through the house changes the relation between light, vegetation, material and inhabitant. The void at the center does the organizing — from it, views cross the plan and the movement of shadows marks the hours on walls and floors.

On the ground floor, the social program runs under one continuous plane. Kitchen and dining group into a wing that opens to the rear gallery and garden; the double-height living room extends into an enclosed front patio, an open-air room that belongs to the interior. Full-height glass panels disappear when opened, so the rooms continue into the landscape without a visible edge.
The material register works by proximity rather than display. Exposed concrete anchors the spaces; wood enters at the scale of the body, filtering light through the mobile screens of the upper floor and giving warmth to the inhabited rooms; the surfaces keep their own identity, with no material used to imitate another. Privacy in the private quarters is built the same way as in the whole house — not by isolation, but by sequence: screens, patio, shadow, room.
Completed in 2024 for the house by OON Architecture, the interior appeared with the project on the cover of Casa Country No. 164 in 2026.
