Lando
About
Lando is a single-family house in El Remanso, Haras Santa María, Escobar, whose interior design is by DOONT Studio. Completed in 2023, the 420 m² (4,521 sq ft) scheme works with stone in its natural state, travertine floors that run from inside to out, and wood screens that filter the light room by room.
MORE
The interior takes its structure from the four patios. Each room borrows the character of the patio it faces — green, water, light — and the double height of the front patio carries daylight into the center of both floors. In one of them, a black steel spiral staircase winds between banana plants like a piece of sculpture.

The material register is warm and continuous. Wood-slat ceilings run through the whole social floor; travertine floors cross the glass line without interruption; and the walls alternate exposed concrete with the rough texture of Cascarón Córdoba stone — against which the stair climbs as floating stone treads behind a coplanar glass balustrade.
Wood also does the dividing. A double-sided, open-grid shelving wall works as a filter between living areas, letting light and views pass through its grid; the TV wall is lined entirely in wood with built-in shelving and cabinetry, so storage disappears into the surface. The furnishing keeps to the same temperature: a modular sofa in warm greige, wood-and-cane armchairs, concrete cube tables, a black arc lamp, and full-height sheer curtains that soften every glazed face.
In Lando the interior is a gradient — stone to wood to textile — tuned patio by patio, from the entrance to the pool.
